Who Are We? The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization that includes both men and women supporting issues but not candidates and parties. The League does not support any political party or candidate, but can does take positions on issues after study and consensus by its members. We are particularly concerned about government, citizen participation, and areas of concern relating to social and health matters, education, the environment, and international affairs. What Do We Do? Our local league presents Candidates' Forums before elections, distributes non-partisan Voters Guides of Texas state political candidates and constitutional amendments, and assists with voter registration. We help present environmental seminars and are a sponsor of the Franklin Mountains Wilderness Park Coalition. Annually, we present a BRAVO Award in recognition of singular community service given by El Pasoans. When Do We Meet Our open meetings are held monthly September through November and January through April Our meetings are announced in the newspaper and on this website including location and time. Meetings cover a wide variety of information on civic matters, social concerns, international events, the environment, education, health, and political issues. How Do I Join?
